What is Craftsy?

Craftsy is home to a collective group of curious, driven doers who believe in the power of creating. From our expert instructors to our passionate employees—we ensure all of our members thrive in our community.

I’m Emily Steffen and my goal in life is to encourage joy in everyone that I meet. I have two kiddos, two pugs, and an awesomely bearded husband. Our family lives in rural Wisconsin amongst the corn fields and Packer fans. I attempt a vegetable garden every year, I believe that ice cream is a necessity at any time of the day, I’m constantly concocting more ways to add color to my life, and I truly believe that it's impossible to own too many scarves. (Especially in the mustard yellow family—yay!)

Meet Emily

Brenda K. B. Anderson crochets, knits, and sews into the wee hours after her kids have gone to bed. She loves designing stuffies that make her laugh, and accessories that beg to be worn over and over again by her friends and family. Brenda is the author of Beastly Crochet and Crochet Ever After and also teaches a Craftsy Class: Crochet Mittens and Fingerless gloves. She has contributed to several books and numerous magazines including Interweave Crochet, Crochetscene and Knitscene. She lives in a little House in Saint Paul, MN where it is sweater weather nine months out of the year. Brenda blogs about her crafty adventures at Craftsplosion.com.
